Greater Daintree Wildlife Cruises offer visitors the experience of visiting two different sections of the magnificent Daintree River. Both cruises are approximately 60 minutes each duration. The cruise departing from Daintree Village Jetty in the Upper Daintree section explores the rainforest that stretches down the hillsides to the rivers edge. Your guide will point out various wildlife including saltwater crocodiles, reptiles, insects, birds and plant species along the way. The grazing lands along some of this section in the Daintree Valley are abundant with bird life. The cruise from Daintree Gateway in the Lower Daintree features complex mangrove forests and tropical rainforest species.
